Schokoladenfarbene Nagellacke/Chocolate coloured Nail Polish

Hello, you all - after a longer break I report back with one of my absolute favorite subjects: chocolate-coloured nail polish! Ordinarily I am not the fan of brown, but quite exactly 3 years ago I had the idea for my nail polish shop and at the same time an absolute strange habit on really chocolate-coloured nail polish - of course there are many different kinds: from softly melting milk chocolate up to those with 70%th cocoa - they all differ in their colours! At that time I have searched the perfect chocolate brown and - found it several times! Enjoy here with me these chocolate-coloured darlings,which are guaranteed free of calories...

 

These are the treasures I want you to show today, from left to right: Mavala - Caracas, AKZENT direct - Chocolate, Mavala - Makoré, LCN - Death by Chocolate und Creative Nail Design - Fedora. Caracas and Chocolate are the more brighter ones, the other three are darker Chocolate. On the nails left: Index finger Mavala - Caracas, Middle finger AKZENT direct - Chocolate. Right: Index finger Mavala - Makoré, Middle finger LCN - Death by Chocolate, Ring finger Creative - Fedora, Pinky finger Dessange.

  

Caracas is a limited edition and a brighter, cool, creamy Chocolate Brown - like the Cocoa you can make a drink of! Its application is easy and it looks almost perfect after the first coat, coverage is First Class, two layers are definitely enough!

Chocolate is also a brighter shade, but warmer than Caracas, it looks a bit more like Caramel. After the first coat it is just - ugly! It has a bit watery and thin texture, so you need always minimum another layer or two, but now it is beatiful! Akzent Nail Polishes are quick drying and provide a broader brush, which allows you to work really quick!

 

Makoré is a dark, really rich Chocolate with a hint of dark and bloody red, which you can see best after the first layer. Easy to apply a beautiful option for a more vampy Chocolate...

Death by Chocolate is THE ONE - the colour, which comes very close to the definition of a chocolate-coloured Nail Polish - neutral, not too warm or cold, not too light or too dark - a colour which dresses you always perfect and remembers me on a bar of soft melting chocolate! LCN has in every colour a very high coverage, so if you are in a hurry, one layer can be enough. But a Quick Dryer is a good tool to shorten the drying time, because the amount of pigments inside it dries a bit slowly than the others!

Fedora shows its charakter in his name - Fedora is a very popular and excellent chocolate brand! Close to Makoré from Mavala, but less red, it is really dark, easy to apply and also without Top Coat high-shine! The brush in all Creative Nail Polishes is more broad and for everyone with not so much practice easy to handle. But watch out - Creative changed not long ago their Nail Polish range and it will not be available for so long...

 

At least I show you an absolute highlight and one of my favourite, private treasures: a colour of Dessange, which was in the fall/winter look two years ago! This colour is intense creamy, intense dark - almost black! - and intense cool, depending on the light it looks greyish brown. Do you know the colour of a chocolate bar, which layed longer in your closet? Exactly this is it!

American Nails - Secrets

Hi - this winter its mysterious with American Nails - 'Secrets' is the name of their actual fall/winter trend look for 2009, please see my English Post below...
When I have seen the new look the first time, I was first a little disappointed - on the photos the polish looked - boringly! However, when I have seen them then personal, some secrets revealed...

The colour Grey Secret is a warm grey with discreet silver shimmer and especially this makes it interesting. He is neither too bright nor too dark, covers well and looks on the nails relatively neutral...

Mud Green - humph, a tone which is certainly worth the second look. The silver glitter preserves him to look dull. The chill tone fits very well the winter and can be carried to all subdued grey tones as well as black...

The beauty of Mauve Secret does not reveal itself at first sight - on applying the first layer he looks just - frightfully: watery and thinly. But according to the 2nd order becomes from the ugly duckling a wonderful swan! The subtle pink-coloured light gives to this varnish absolutely refinement and whistle, for lovers of rather morbid colours like me 'Must have' of the season - my favorite!

Lilac Secret is the end of the quartet and already in the bottle the special appears - the Holographic-Flakes! Similarly to the Holographic tones of Nfu-Oh this nail polish is absolutely for festive hours or simply always then when colour is asked. Besides, it already covers with the 1st layer almost perfect...

GlamHeels - A new trend?

Hello, all - for today I have something special for you - Trendliner shows a look, where you wear your nail polish not only ON, but also UNDERNEATH your nail...

This look is inspired by the red outer soles of Christian Louboutin. China Glaze has already taken up such a thing similar, however, anew with Trendliner it is a. the second colour combination in Lilac and Silver and b. that you alternate work with nail polish or a coloured French-Liner under the free edge. It looks most nicely of course on / under longer nails.

A new Nail Polish Blog?

Hello, you all - to all who are crazy about nail polish here and somewhere else!

I am now a Blogger, too - simply to collect all informations, pictures, swatches, basics which I publish on the various sides on the subject Nail varnish and show them at one, central place!

I have to say it first - this Blog is not unpredjudiced, because my occupation and my online shop deal with the subject of the Blogs: Nail varnish - in all colours and dimensions, creamy, weakly, with glitter, without, star dust and neon. And the best is - I must be not at all objective - in my Blog I may write everything what I like or not like:-)

Everyone who knows me already: yes, I am addicted - mad after nail polish for already 19 years, since I was the first time still as a cosmetics trainee on the cosmetics fair taking place quite anew in Munich at this time. I will never forget this view on millions of different nail varnish bottles and felt immediately in love with!

I wear my nails mostly briefly, admire of course long nails which do not fit, however, to my hand and my personality. I fight like many of you with dry skin and cuticles and hardly keep them in winter time smooth. The nature blessed me with rather sensitive nails, so that they are ok when I care regular, but they are hell, if not!

My private nail polish collection is to be described with a word: Darkly! No matter which colour, with pleasure also sometimes matte or with glitter, but for me never really brightly or classic. My own collection encloses, in the meantime, i. e. 70 All-Time-Favourite-Colours which I would never give and I treasure.

Oh, by the way brightly and unobtrusively - uäääh, with the word 'classically', 'unobtrusively', 'discreetly' I agree thus choking and get definitively pimples - why certainly, carries woman or man nail varnish if she or he wants to be unobtrusive?? Are we condemned to set in the mass? In some things, yes, but NOT ON THE NAILS! Then I don't need to carry one! So, this is my personal opinion!

Of course I have this like they in the branch called usual 'housewife's colours' (please don't misunderstand - I have NOTHING against housewives, also I must keep my household clean!) varnish in the assortment - I can and do not want to force upon any my taste, but these colours are not me

Other predilections? Yes, Violet / lilac - this colour you will see with me over and over again, I have chosen them for the styling of all my sites as an accent colour to black and carry them themselves with pleasure: for me violet is the most unusual of all tones, opulently, wastefully, enigmatically, moves, conspicuously, eye-catcher!

And a passion which I realise, however, not personally is Nude nail polish - yes, yes, I already know, on a side a contradiction to my personal predilection, but: I think its amazing to see a perfect, covering nail varnish colour which adapts and 'hide' the nails almost unvisible.  This is not so easy because at all - so many Nude nuances there are, it is really difficult to find the perfect, covering polish! Do you report to me about your results or failures? Thank you!
